It only goes to reaffirm the Yogic spirit of ONENESS and HUMANISM. No matter where we live, we are UNITED and we are all ALIKE. We come from the same earth and we will all go into the same earth. How we spend our existence on this planet is our choice – conscious or unconscious, so let us AWAKEN to this journey called LIFE on this beautiful YOGA DAY!

What is Yoga?

user-imageYoga is a lifestyle – it is the way we live our lives. Yoga is not just limited to our practice on the yoga mat; it extends way beyond the mat and encompasses every single aspect of our daily living. From the time we wake up to when we sleep; from our relationship with, and our understanding of ourselves, to our relationships and understanding of others. It also incapsulates our relationship with the world around us and everything in it; like plants, trees, the forests, the ocean and even the cosmos and solar system.

The Sanskrit word Yoga or Yog means “to unite.” It is the coming together of entities. When such aunion takes place anywhere within us or around us, we establish a concept of merging together or fusing together of energy.

The BREATH is a beautiful tool that we can use to unite the MIND and the BODY = YOGA

user-imageYoga teaches us that BALANCE is key to a healthy and peaceful life. The art of yoga gives us the ability to harmoniously UNITE with ourselves and everything around us to create a sense of overall balance and Well-being, within and outside of us. When we do this, we achieve a state of Homeostasis within our body – balancing our Central, Peripheral and Enteric Nervous System.

A life of Self-Awareness, is the corner stone of achieving balance, through YOGA.
